Amanda is a Lecturer in the Bioinformatics Group in the Department of Computer Science at Aberystwyth University. Previously she held an EPSRC/RAEng Research Fellowship and before that, a Fellowship from the Royal Commission for the Great Exhibition of 1851. Her research involves multi-relational machine learning and data mining, laboratory automation and analysis of biological data. She has an undergraduate degree in Maths and Computation from Oxford, a Masters in AI from Edinburgh and a PhD in Computational Biology from Aberystwyth.

 

2016 Update: Amanda has been promoted to Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at Aberystwyth University.
