Pamela is a Lecturer in Criminology and is based in the Department of Criminology at Swansea University. She originally trained as a Lawyer. Added to her Law degree, has a Masters degree in Criminal Justice and Applied Criminology (with Distinction) and a PhD in Criminal Justice and Criminology. She obtained both postgraduate degrees from the University of Wales, Swansea, United Kingdom.
Pamela’s research interests include exploring the dynamics of compliance with legal authorities and evaluating the impact of supervision skills on the outcome of criminal justice supervision (in prison or in the community). Her recent publications and conference papers have explored the dynamics of compliance with community orders and the impact of supervision skills on the outcomes of community orders. Pamela is very interested in forging collaborative research relationships with researchers involved in criminal justice research in Wales.

Pamela has relocated and is now an Associate Professor in Criminology, Sociology and Social Research at Southampton University.
