Sharon is an improvement science fellow with the Health Foundation and a lecturer with the Logistics and Operations Management Section at Cardiff Business School where she teaches operations management and lean operations. Sharon is a co-ordinator of the Cardiff Health Organisation and Policy Studies Group. Prior to joining Cardiff she was an Assistant Professor at Warwick Medical School, where she was instrumental in the design and delivery of a number of clinical systems improvement courses for healthcare professionals and managers. Sharon’s doctoral research focused on supply chain management in the UK furniture industry. Her current research interests include systems improvement, leading and managing transformation, change and improvement, and process, organisational and supply chain redesign. Sharon’s research during her fellowship will examine the design of care pathways and the application of improvement technologies such as lean and agile.
Sharon has relocated to Swansea, where she has been promoted to Professor of Interprofessional Studies in the College of Human and Health Sciences at Swansea University.
